The Hexacopter was our first full scale prototype of a personal electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. We designed, built and flew this vehicles in just 8 months on a very small budget. The aircraft was powered by six isolated high power Li-ion battery packs that we built ourselves, and propelled by six 47 inch diameter carbon fiber propellers. The structure was made from welded aluminum and carbon fiber tubes.

The Spinner was our go-to-market design for a personal electric aircraft that blends vertical takeoff and landing with fast and efficient cruise flight. Designed to fit into the ultralight category, the Spinner does not require a pilot's license, as long as you don't fly over cities. The large glide-capable wing gives the Spinner double the flight time and higher safety than any other ultralight eVTOL. The aircraft was also designed with no single points of failure, automatic takeoff and landing and obstacle avoidance software, and an emergency ballistic parachute for maximum peace of mind.

Spinner Mini is a sub-scale prototype of the Spinner which we built to prove out the Spinner's unique H frame configuration and develop the control logic for the flight mode transition. The structure is around 90% 3D printed using both FDM and SLA methods, enabling rapid prototyping and fast iterations of the design. The tilting mechanism and control scheme has been proven through flight testing.
